Tarot Table Talk

Because you are, of course, a complex and multi-faceted individual, there is probably not just one tarot card that best describes you. You might find two or even three cards with which you most identify.

To discover which of the major arcana cards, 0 – 9, best fit your personality, answer the questions below. Give yourself one point for a yes, and half a point for a hmmm-sort of-sometimes yes. If you give yourself five to six points for any particular card, you’ve got a match!

Card I

• Do you have inner-strength and self-confidence?
• Do you have courage?
• Are you compassionate?
• Are you able to charm difficult people?
• Are you gentle but firm?
• Are you resilient?

Card J

• Are you intuitive? Do you listen to your feelings?
• Are you perceptive?
• Do you tend to reflect instead of act?
• Are you attracted to the unknown?
• Are you interested in metaphysical pursuits such as tarot?
• Do you remember your dreams and take interest in them?

After taking the test, I discover that I am mostly The Hermit—no surprise there. Strength comes in 2nd place, which happens to be my birth card. The Lovers comes in at a close third. I don’t generally gravitate towards The Lovers card and had to stop and think about that. As a high school teacher, I must, of course, include the Hierophant on my list.
