La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles is putting on a show of tarot art called The LowBrow Tarot Card Project. Twenty-two artists have been selected to exhibit his or her interpretation of one of the twenty-two major arcana cards. An additional artist was selected to exhibit a card back. Tarot has some of the best art that exists. My personal favorite is the Star card in the Thoth deck. Beautiful. I’ve never wished I was in LA. Blessings and Hail!

I know I’m writing in way late on this, but it really does look like a fascinating deck. Interesting that the Hanged Man is a woman. And I love the card for the Devil–awful and evocative. And the World girl’s air of absolute certainty and possession. Makes me wonder if anyone is going to take her down a notch…
